NEWBORN SESSIONS
Newborn sessions are different from traditional portrait sessions in that
they must be done within 14 days of life and tend to take longer.

Those first few days are so precious and they go by way too quickly.
Remember how amazing this time is with newborn portrait photography.

When should I book my session?
Book your newborn portrait session while you are pregnant,
preferably at least 6 weeks before your due date.
I will pencil your due date into my calendar. Once you have your baby, give me a
call or send me an email and we will schedule your session.

How long does the session take?
Typically, newborn sessions last 2-3 hours. I work as long as it takes. We follow the baby’s lead.
We take plenty of breaks for baby to eat, snuggle, whatever he or she needs. Patience is key.

What should I expect?
I will have everything ready for your session in my home studio in Woodbury.
All you need to bring is a food for your baby, diapers, and a pacifier.
I highly recommend bringing a pacifier as it can greatly contribute to the success of the session.
The session will take anywhere from 2-3 hours.

What do I need to do to prepare?
Try to keep your baby awake for two hours prior to their session.
This can be a challenge so please don’t stress. Sometimes a bath is helpful.
Try to time feedings so their most
current feeding is right before the session begins. Feeding before you leave is ideal.
Please dress your baby
in something that zips or buttons up so we do not need to pull
anything over his or her head.

Please do not schedule vaccinations the morning before your session.
If you plan to circumcise your son, please do not schedule
it within three days prior to your session.

When will my photos be ready?
I do a sneak peek on Facebook within a few days.
You are welcome to tag yourself in these photos, but please do not crop or edit out my logo.
Newborn galleries are sent out within 4 weeks of the session.

Allergies
Please note — I have two cats. The studio area is freshly vacuumed
before sessions and the cats are kept far away.
